The Grünaubach flows only a few meters past the loggia. With the windows open, you can listen to its rippling. On a clear day, you can see the Kasberg. The loggia faces south. The apartment has a direct entrance from the outside. It is located on the first floor of an apartment building with condominiums. The so-called Hochschlag housing estate includes 4 apartment buildings, built in 1972. They are surrounded by a well-kept community garden. It is located on Schindlbachstraße in the direction of Kasberg. The Kasberg ski lift is 2.6 km away. The Schindlbachstraße ends after about 5 km in front of the entrance to Märchenwald, which is currently closed. In the wild-romantic natural landscape there are parking lots and access to the Grünaubach.

There is a bus stop in front of the Hochschlagsiedlung. In winter there are regular ski buses to the Kasberg ski lift. In summer there is a tourist bus service also to Almsee. The Almsee is 17 km away. Outside the winter and summer season, buses rarely run. The location is not recommended without a car. The train station is 4 km away. The Almtalbahn goes to Wels where there are transfer possibilities to IC trains of the ÖBB and to trains of the Westbahn.

The village center is about 3.6 km away. Currently, there is only one ADEG market in the village, a bakery, a butcher's shop, the village café, and several restaurants.

In Grünau im Almtal there is a kindergarten, an elementary school, a children's playground, a community doctor with a pharmacy, a Caritas assisted living facility for seniors, a public library, a small outdoor pool and many beautiful places to linger, walk and hike.

Further shopping facilities and a new secondary school are available in Scharnstein, 10 km away, as well as in the surrounding communities and small towns, such as Pettenbach, Vorchdorf and Laakirchen. All shopping facilities, higher schools, medical specialists, one hospital each and much more can be found in the nearby district capitals of Gmunden and Kirchdorf an der Krems.
